The Introduction to home electrics courses are held in Oldham ideally placed for Manchester, Salford, Greater Manchester, Stockport,
Rochdale, Hyde, Ashton-Under-Lyne and all of Tameside.
This course is an introduction for those interested in installing electrical systems in domestic premises with little or no prior knowledge or
experience of domestic electrical installations and wiring of circuits.
If you are looking to become a qualified domestic electrical installer, this course is the ideal prerequisite for those wanting to
progress to the Domestic Electrical Installers Certificate.
This course will cover:-
Electrical legislation
Safe isolation procedures - working safely at all times
Principles of electricity - Ohms Law.
Protective devices.
AC (single and 3 phase).
Earthing and bonding arrangements
Cable selection and installation
Installation of lighting circuits
Installation of socket outlet circuits.
