The Emergency First Aid at Work courses are held in Oldham ideally placed for Manchester, Salford, Greater Manchester, Stockport,
Rochdale, Hyde, Ashton-Under-Lyne and all of Tameside.
From 1st October 2009, the Health and Safety Executive has introduced changes to first aid training arrangements.
Employers duty holders will be expected to implement the changes from this date.
This qualification has been designed to meet the new standards for Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training.
Before taking up first aid duties, a first aider should have undertaken training and have a qualification that is HSE approved.
One way of complying is they should hold a valid certificate of competence in Emergency First Aid at Work issued by a recognised awarding
body of the QCA/SQA.
A nationally recognised Certificate will be awarded to those candidates who successfully complete a
multi-choice exam and practical assessment. This certificate is valid for three years.
